| The Allegory of the Glass and the Water |

There are some people who say the glass is half-empty. They are pessimistic in their outlook of any situation. There are some people who say that the glass is half-full. These are the optimistic people trying too hard to find the good of their situation. They are usually too simple-minded to get mad at the fact that half the water is gone. Then there are people who say the glass has water in it. These are the gullible people. They mostly live and accept whatever happens in their life. They propel the market for informercials and home-shopping channels. And there are the people who say "What glass?" These people do not have a good footing on reality by their non-acceptance attitude of existing man-made objects. They could also be blind. But these types of people refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. Finally, there is us. We are the people who say "What water?" The reason for this is because we drank the water from the glass. That makes our type of people the thirsty type. So the moral of this allegory is if life gives you lemons, sell the lemons and buy something else you can eat, like apples. Let someone else make the lemonade. |
